Why CHAUVIN BUILDERS?

If you're like us, we appreciate the sensitivity to proportion & harmony that's long been lost.

You may be one of the few that appreciates the look of an old house and drawn to the harmony some can produce in their appeal to our senses. Most designers today are more interested in producing a building of unique signature rather than one of simplicity and rhythm. A significant portion of the buildings built over a hundred years ago were not built by licensed architects, but rather people of their craft that underwent apprenticeships and years of mentoring under career long professionals.

Spencer and his brother Marc were taught construction basics by their Master Architect  father, Henry, early on in life, before highschool, helping out by adding on to their home as well as maintaining the family antebellum homes and assisting in tearing down some very old and unique buildings that were beyond repair. They performed tasks as varied as electrical, drywall, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, foundations, as well as design tasks. Spencer went on to study Construction Management @ LSU before working in the telecom industry completing industrial construction projects across the United States, including Alaska. Spencer holds state contracting  building construction licenses in several states including Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.
